The strategy of monopolies has always been the same: to buy up our land, resources, and livelihood step by step, making us dependent so they can dictate the rules. Divided, we are easily bought out and defeated. It is time to remember the legacy of our ancestors. Their wisdom teaches us that our strength lies in unity. When we unite in a cooperative, we do not just protect our properties—we create a community that cannot be bought or subdued. Together, we are invincible.
How does the cooperative operate?
Although we constantly call for development, we often face repression from the authorities. However, this does not stop us from standing up for our vision, which—while carrying a hint of a healthy utopia—remains entirely grounded in reality and our desire for a better future. We are creating a magnet for other repressed, proactive, and enterprising individuals who have been forced to leave the country or have closed their businesses in Bulgaria.

Goals and objectives of the "Zashtitnite" cooperative
The primary goal of the cooperative is to create a sustainable economic model capable of withstanding attacks from the authorities and financing people and ideas that permanently build a better environment for the development of both co-op members and society. This can only happen if, in the long term, it manages to establish its own bank, fund, agricultural and livestock farms, education system, and a place to live and grow for people who share these values.

Our idea is to support the economic development of the only municipality that is overcoming the oligarchic model and creating conditions for the development of knowledgeable, capable, willing, and action-oriented people. We are creating a sustainable model in which the economy works for the benefit of the people, rather than for particular individuals who have taken control of the state apparatus and the media.
